Off the job, Sarnia Firefighters are consistently supporting the community by contributing to various local charities as well as dedicating countless hours by volunteering at local events and organizations.
HOW WE HELP
The SPFFA Community Benefit Fund is a non-profit charitable fund run by Sarnia Firefighters. Every dollar raised through charitable event or your donation goes right back into Sarnia-Lambton. We give back to local charities that need urgent funding to assist them in reaching their mission!

Shortly after 2am, Sarnia Fire Rescue Cshift Firefighters were dispatched to a boat in distress call located just past the mouth of Sarnia Yacht Club by the Cove. The vessel, with 4 people onboard, had run aground and was taking on heavy water. Sarnia Fire had a two hall, 3 truck response sending Engine 1 to Marine 1 while Rescue 1 and Engine 3 responded to the Cove to make contact with the distressed boaters. Upon arrival to the Cove, it was discovered the boaters had abandoned ship and safely made it to shore. Thankfully all 4 boaters were wearing life jackets and had no injuries.
